Always enjoyed M1NT. The service was as good as when there was no restaurant week and always like restaurants that serve free water - regardless if one order drinks or not.
Started of with waffle and cream cheese served on raw rice (presentation only) - crispy abc good balance of tanginess from the cheese. This was followed by small cup of cream of mushroom - nice and warm on a cold winter day.
We chose tuna tartar and seared scallop. Tuna was amazing with a nice tanginess from the lime - great on pallete. Scallop was beautifully seared - a taste of smokiness and texture was chewy and nice.
Mains were beef steak and black cod in miso. A big generous portion of smooth black cod and the lime took the sometimes overpowering richness (oiliness) from the cod fish. Steak was tender, perfectly grilled - which the right pinkiness.
Chocolate fondant was the dessert - sublime! Chocolate lava rich and warm combined with ice cream. Perfect end to a perfect dinner!
